How do I add extra baggage?

For flights operated by LATAM

You can add hand luggage, checked baggage and special baggage during the purchase of your tickets or afterwards. Carry-on luggage can only be added for an extra cost if your fare does not include it.

How to add baggage after booking your ticket:

• Go to Administer my trips, which is located in the My trips menu.
• Enter your trip details (order number or reservation code and last name).
• Click the “Add baggage” button, located under your order number and in the baggage area under your itinerary.

You can also purchase baggage at our offices or directly at the airport. We recommend you purchase it in advance on our website, since you can save up to 40%.

For flights operated by associated airlines

In these cases, you can only purchase baggage at the airport the day of the trip with the airline that is operating the first flight.

Keep in mind that if the first flight of your trip is operated by LATAM, the price that you will pay at the airport will be the same as on the website. If your first flight is operated by another airline, we recommend you contact them directly to confirm the cost of additional baggage.

Can I request a refund for purchased luggage if I did not use it on my trip?

If you purchase additional luggage but do not use it, this service will not be refunded, nor can it be transferred for use on another date.
