What kind of animals can travel?

You can travel with your dog or cat, as long as it is at least 16 weeks old.

You have to fulfill some requirements to request the service. However, there are restrictions for some of our routes. 

Check all the necessary information in the Pet Transportation Service. Remember that it is essential to comply with the detailed requirements, especially regarding documentation, permitted breeds and kennel specifications, so that we can ensure the welfare of your pet at all times.

Travel ban for dogs to the U.S.

The CDC (Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention) dictates that all dogs traveling to the United States must comply with the following conditions:

  • It must be in good health.
  • It must be at least 6 months old.
  • It must have the importation form for dogs, emitted by the CDC website.
  • It must have a microchip. The number of the microchip must be included in all the required forms and documents.

Additionally, dogs coming from countries with a high risk of rabies transmission, or that have been in those countries within the last 6 months, or their itinerary includes a connection in those countries, must be vaccinated against rabies and comply with the vaccination requirements according to the country:

These conditions are for reference purposes and can change without prior notice. Due to this, we request that you always review the CDC website in detail. Compliance applies to dogs in the cabin, service dogs and dogs traveling in the hold, independent of their race.

 

Entry and exit of animals from Colombian territory: every time you travel with your pet from/to Colombia, you must register at the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA) to obtain the Certificate of Sanitary Inspection (CIS) that will be required for the trip. The Certificate will be required upon departure and/or arrival in Colombia. To request the certificate and more detailed information go to Instituto Agropecuario Colombiano (ICA)
