Will my baggage always be delivered directly to my final destination?
Your baggage will be tagged to the final destination when the flights are in the same reservation, however, you must collect it at the connecting airport in the following cases:
- Flights departing from South America to the United States with a domestic connection: you must always collect your baggage at the arrival airport in the United States. Afterwards, you should drop off your baggage at the Delta recheck counters located near the baggage claim area.
- Flights departing from the United States to South America with a domestic connection: you must always collect your baggage at the arrival airport, unless your connection is in Colombia, where the baggage will be sent directly to the final destination. If you have a domestic connection, you should recheck your baggage with LATAM at the domestic connection counters.
Your baggage will be delivered directly to the final destination in the following cases:
- Domestic flights within South America with an international connection to the United States;
- Domestic flights within the United States with an international connection to South America.
