Do I have to take my baggage on a connection?
When all your flights have the same Order Number or reservation code, it is generally not necessary. Even if you have to change airplanes during the connection, your baggage will be transported by airport baggage personnel, and you only have to pick it up at the destination airport. However, we recommend that you pay attention to the crew's instructions, as on some routes, the local authority may carry out a baggage inspection.
- For connections from an international flight to a domestic flight (outside England or the European Schengen Area), you need to pick up your baggage to check it back in at the connections counter or baggage drop-off.
- For connections from an international flight to a domestic flight in England or in the European Schengen Area, you do not need to pick up your baggage, it will be tagged to the final destination.
- For connections between Guarulhos and Congonhas airports in São Paulo ( Brasil), you must always pick up your baggage and take it with you to the next terminal.
- If you have a connection from an international flight to a domestic flight in Bogota, you do not need to pick up your baggage, it will be tagged to the final destination.
