What do I do if I forgot a personal item on the plane?
Items found on board the aircraft, in the boarding area, or within LATAM facilities are collected and recorded by the Lost and Found department.
If you are still at the airport, the most efficient procedure is to look for our LATAM team at the check-in counters or boarding gates. They can quickly check whether the item has already been found and recorded.
If you have already left the airport or have asked about it on-site without success, please note that LATAM has up to 12 hours after the flight’s arrival to register found items. For this reason, inquiries made after this period tend to be more up to date, allowing for a more accurate response.
To check whether your item has been located, please contact us via WhatsApp® within 7 days after your trip.
Please be aware that passengers are responsible for their personal belongings and carry-on baggage.
