How many bottles of alcoholic beverages can I bring on my trip?
You can bring bottles of alcoholic beverages as long as the following limits are observed:
In the cabin: on domestic flights, you can bring up to 5 liters (170 oz) in retail containers of up to 5 liters (170 oz), provided they contain between 24% and 70% alcohol by volume, subject to the applicable laws. On international flights, you can bring containers of up to 100 ml each, contained in clear plastic bags with a maximum capacity of 1 liter that can be zipped closed, provided they contain between 24% and 70% alcohol by volume, subject to the applicable laws.
If your flight departs from Argentina or Chile, the same limits as for domestic flights apply. Except for flights:
- Heading to the United States or Oceania.
- With a stop or connection in Uruguay.
In the checked baggage: on domestic and international flights, you can bring up to 5 liters (170 oz) in retail containers of up to 5 liters (170 oz), provided they contain between 24% and 70% alcohol by volume, subject to the applicable laws.
Notes:
-Alcoholic beverages containing 24% alcohol by volume or less are not subject to any restriction in domestic flights.
- Alcoholic beverages containing more than 70% alcohol by volume are not allowed to be transported, independently of the route and baggage.
Important: The sum of the amount of alcoholic beverages transported in the cabin and checked baggage cannot exceed 5 liters per person.
