Can I request a refund for purchased seats and/or baggage?

We'll refund the cost of purchased seats and/or baggage as long as the fare conditions of your ticket allow it. You can check this information on your purchase receipt or in the "What your fare includes" section under "My trips" on our website.

Seats and baggage can be refunded separately in the following cases:

  • If your flight is rescheduled: Your baggage will be transferred to the new flight, and you can request a refund if you can't find seats with the same characteristics as those you originally purchased.

  • If you move your flight time forward or delay it within the same travel day: Your baggage will be transferred to the new flight, and you can request a refund if you can't find seats with the same characteristics as those you originally purchased.
  • If we change your seat for operational or safety reasons and can't offer you another seat with the same or better conditions as the one you chose: You can request a refund for your seats through our LATAM chat.

Can I request a refund for purchased seats and/or baggage if I get a cabin Upgrade?

No, if you receive a cabin Upgrade, you won't be able to request a refund for purchased seats and/or baggage.
