What options does LATAM offer in the event of canceled or rescheduled flights?

We're sorry for changing your itinerary. We know you had plans.
You can choose a new date at no extra cost, keeping the same destination and cabin type.
To make the change, keep your order number or reservation code on hand.

When you access Reschedule your trip, you’ll be able to:

Choose the flight we’ve proposed. If you want to keep this option, your flight is already confirmed and there’s nothing else you need to do.

 

Review other flights, dates or times that better suit your needs:

  1. Select the flight you prefer.
  2. Review it in detail and, if you’d like, also modify the other flights in your itinerary.
  3. Confirm the change.

 

You have up to 12 months from your original flight date to make the change.

If you don’t want to make any changes, you can request a refund. By choosing this option, you’ll confirm the automatic and full refund of the unused trip, including boarding fees, seats and baggage.

 

Canceled or significantly changed flights to or from the United States

In case your flight to or from the United States has been canceled or rescheduled, you can choose from one of the following options:

  • Reschedule your flight at no additional cost (for the same cabin and route);
  • Leave an open ticket with no specific travel date for up to 12 months from the date of your first original flight purchased;
  • Refund of your flights not taken with its corresponding taxes, seats and baggage.

In case you reject or do not choose any of the options above before the departure of your rescheduled flight, your flight not taken will be automatically refunded with its corresponding taxes, seats and baggage, complying with the rule requiring automatic refunds from the US Department of Transportation.

 

What are my options if I purchased a travel package and one of my flights was canceled or rescheduled?

Travel package with LATAM Travel
Contact the LATAM Travel Contact Center to manage the change or request a refund.

Travel package with Despegar
Reschedule your flight on their website or by calling the Despegar Contact Center.

Hotel or car bookings or travel assistance
Manage the changes directly through the providers' platforms:

  • Hotels with Booking.com
  • Cars with Rentalcars.
  • Insurance with Assist Card through the contact number that is in your purchase confirmation email.
