Can I make a same-day flight change?
Yes, you can change your flight time while keeping the same day, origin and destination.
To move your domestic or international flight earlier or later via our website or App, you can do so from 24 hours up to 1 hour and 40 minutes before departure.
To do this, you must:
- Go to My trips using your order number or reservation code and last name.
- Click the button “Change the date of your flight” on the right-hand side if using a computer, or if using a mobile device, click “Manage trip” at the top of the itinerary section and then select “Change the date of your flight”
- Review the ticket change conditions
- Select the flight segment you want to modify
- Choose the schedule that works best for you and the fare for your new flight
- Confirm and pay any applicable fees
If you're making the change directly at airport sales offices, you can move an earlier domestic flight from 24 hours up to 1 hour before departure and an international flight up to 1 hour and 40 minutes before departure. If you want to postpone your flight, you have up to 1 hour before the original departure time, whether it's domestic or international.
Keep in mind that:
- Changes can only be made for flights operated and issued by LATAM Airlines.
- This service has a fixed fee, with no additional charges for fare differences on the new flight you have selected.
- The change will apply to all passengers in the reservation.
- Regardless of the new flight you choose, the conditions of your original fare’s included services and allowances will remain unchanged.
- The same fee conditions apply to adults and children, except for infants under 2 years old, who can use this service at no cost.
- You cannot switch from a connecting flight to a direct flight or vice versa.
- If you requested special meals on your original flight, this service won't be available on your new flight.
- If your destination or connection city has multiple airports, you can switch airports. For example, if you're flying to Buenos Aires or connecting there, you can switch between Ezeiza and Aeroparque.
How much does this service cost?
The service fee depends on your route and destination. See details below:
Domestic flights:
- Within Brazil: Up to 120 BRL
- Within Chile: Up to 35,000 CLP
- Within Colombia: Up to 55,000 COP
- Within Ecuador: Up to 20 USD
- Within Peru: Up to 25 USD
- Other domestic flights: Up to 75 USD
International flights:
- Between countries in South America: Up to 60 USD
- Other international flights: Up to 75 USD
The payment is non-refundable except in cases of flight cancellations or delays due to operational, safety, or service issues, unforeseen events or force majeure that prevent boarding the new flight. In these cases, you can request a refund through our Contact Center.
Which LATAM Pass member categories get this service at no cost?
- Black Signature and Black: On all flights.
- Platinum and Gold Plus: Only on domestic flights.
- Gold: Only on domestic flights within Colombia.
The benefits for categories are available for all of our fares, except the Basic fare.
When is this service not available?
- If you purchased priority boarding or additional baggage for your fare.
- If you’ve already checked in your baggage at the airport counter.
- If you requested a service that requires confirmation at least 24 hours in advance (e.g., pets in the hold, unaccompanied minors, etc.).
