What happens if my flight was delayed?
If we had to delay your flight by 31 minutes or more and you're not satisfied with the new schedule, we want to offer you a solution.
We know that a delay can affect your trip planning, so we're offering you one of the following options:
- Change the time or date of your flight
- Request a refund for the ticket
If you want to change the time or date of your flight
You can make the change free of charge, as long as you travel to the same destination and in the same class as the original flight.
To change your ticket, you have a period of up to 12 months from the date of your first originally purchased flight, and only on trips that you haven't taken. For example, if your trip started on June 10, 2022, you have until June 10, 2023 to make the change.
To make the change, have your order number or reservation code close by, and follow the steps below:
-
Enter with your trip information and you'll see the proposed itinerary
If you want to keep this option, you don’t need to do anything. Your flight is already confirmed. -
If you do decide to change, check other flights and select the date
We'll give you a list of available flights for the date you have selected. -
Select the flight that suits you best
Review it in detail and, if you want, modify the other flights in your itinerary too. -
Confirm the change
Don’t forget to accept the terms and conditions, and your change will be ready.
If you prefer to not travel and request a refund
You can request a refund free of charge in My trips. If you used LATAM Pass Miles to redeem your ticket, depending on the redemption date, we'll credit the money to your LATAM Wallet.
