What are boarding fees?

It is the price charged by the airport authority or operator for the use of its infrastructure and services (boarding lounges, immigration services), which is not included in the value of the fare.

Some countries may also apply local charges or taxes that can be up to 10% of your fare, such as the reciprocity tax charged by the Chilean government to North American passengers, for example.
