How do I activate and use my eSIM?

Before installing the eSIM, keep in mind:

  • Your mobile phone must be compatible with eSIM technology.
  • The mobile phone must be unlocked, meaning it must accept lines from any carrier.
  • Have a stable Wi-Fi connection, because eSIM installation does not work with mobile data.
  • Make sure your mobile phone’s operating system is updated to the latest version.

Is my mobile phone compatible with eSIM?

Most recent mobile phones are compatible. Some examples:

  • iPhone from XR onward
  • Samsung Galaxy from S21 onward (on most models)
  • Google Pixel from 4a onward.
  • Several recent models from Xiaomi, OnePlus and other brands.

To check on your own mobile phone:

  • Go to Mobile network from Settings and then to Add eSIM. If that option appears, your mobile phone is compatible.

You can check the full list on the eSIM compatibility page.

Some mobile phones sold in China do not support eSIM, even if the same model does in other countries.

How do I know if my mobile phone accepts lines from another carrier?

You can check this by reviewing your mobile phone settings, contacting your current carrier or trying a SIM from another carrier.

Check it yourself:

  • On iPhone: go to General from Settings, then About and look for “Carrier Lock”; if it says “No SIM restrictions”, your mobile phone is unlocked.
  • On Android: go to Connections from Settings, then Mobile networks (or SIM card manager) and look for “Network lock” or “SIM lock status”.

Contact your current carrier:

  • If you cannot find that information on your mobile phone, contact your current carrier and ask if your device is unlocked.

Try another SIM:

  • Insert a physical SIM from another carrier. If your mobile phone recognizes it and you can make a call or use data with it, it is unlocked.

If your mobile phone is not unlocked, you will not be able to install your eSIM: the system will identify it as a line from a carrier other than the one that sold it, and the installation will not be completed.

How do I install my eSIM?

Installation is for one-time use. You can install it with the QR code, manually or from your computer (available on iPhone and Samsung). You only need to follow one method; if one does not work, try another.

On iPhone, with QR code:

  • From your mobile phone Settings, go to Mobile data (Cellular) and then Add eSIM.
  • Select “Use QR Code” and scan the code you received by email.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and confirm the installation.

On iPhone, manually:

  • From Settings, go to Mobile data, then Add eSIM and select “Enter Details Manually”.
  • Paste the activation code you received by email, which starts with LPA:1$.
  • Confirm to complete the installation.

On Android, with QR code:

  • From your mobile phone Settings, go to Mobile network (or Connections) and then Add eSIM.
  • Scan the QR code you received by email.
  • Follow the on-screen steps to finish.

On Android, manually:

  • From Settings, go to Mobile network, then Add eSIM and select “Enter code manually”.
  • Paste the activation code you received by email.
  • Confirm to complete the installation.

On Samsung mobile phones, you can also scan the QR code directly from your gallery if you saved it as an image, without needing to open the email.

What should I do if my eSIM does not activate?

If your eSIM does not activate, try the following:

  • Restart your mobile phone.
  • Turn airplane mode and roaming on and off.
  • Check your Wi-Fi connection.
  • Make sure your mobile phone is unlocked and that you do not have an active VPN.

What should I do if my eSIM is active but I have no signal?

  • Check if you have reached your data limit.
  • Check your usage on the website we have to review your eSIM.
  • Repeat the steps from the previous section: restart your mobile phone, turn airplane mode and roaming on and off, check your Wi-Fi connection and make sure it is unlocked and has no VPN.

What happens if I delete my eSIM by mistake?

You can reinstall it, but only on the same mobile phone where you originally installed it.

Do I need to activate roaming?

Yes. Turn on data roaming on your eSIM line so it connects automatically to an available network abroad. Your eSIM connects to the antenna with the best available coverage, so the carrier name you see on your mobile phone may change depending on the area you are in. Also, we recommend turning off your main eSIM to avoid roaming charges from your regular plan.

How long does my plan last?

Your eSIM is valid for 30 days from the moment it is activated.

What data plans are available?

Depending on the country or region, you can choose between 1 GB, 3 GB, 5 GB or 10 GB plans.

What happens if I run out of data?

You can top up an additional 1 GB or 3 GB, or buy a new eSIM.

How do I top up data on my eSIM?

Top-ups are available in 1 GB or 3 GB increments. To top up, you need to have an active subscription. Top-ups are applied one at a time and coupons cannot be applied.

  • Go to the website we have to review your eSIM.
  • Check your subscription details.
  • Buy the top-up you need.

The top-up usually activates in minutes. If it does not activate after several hours, contact support.

What additional costs does my eSIM have?

No activation or cancellation fees are charged. Only the corresponding local taxes and fees apply, which are visible before you complete your purchase.
If you cancel your eSIM without having used data, the refund is full. If you have already used part of your plan, the refund will be partial, calculated based on your usage.

Where do I manage my eSIM?

Enter your email on the website we have to review your eSIM to access:

  • Your QR code and manual activation code.
  • Installation instructions customized for your mobile phone.
  • Your remaining data usage.
  • The option to top up data or buy a new eSIM.
