What do I have to do if I need a wheelchair at the airport?
You can request the chairs we have available at the airport by contacting us at least 24 hours before the departure of your flight through the Contact Center.
The service includes the transfer from the counter to the boarding gate or seat on the plane. Once at the destination, we will accompany you to the terminal exit.
If you forget to inform us in advance of your need of a wheelchair, we will do our best to deliver the assistance to you with the shortest possible waiting time at the airport.
Important
- The service does not imply continuous assistance of the wheelchair passenger. Therefore, at times when the passenger does not require transfer assistance and can move about on their own, they may be left unattended by LATAM.
- It is important that, in the event that the passenger has any condition other than reduced mobility, the company must be informed at least 48 hours in advance in order to properly address and manage it, especially if a medical professional or a family member is required to accompany them.
- In case of high demand for the wheelchair service, the wait times to receive service for requests without advance notice (24 hours), could be affected by infrastructure, space or logistical limitations. We will do our best to handle all requests as quickly as possible.
