What do I have to do if I need a wheelchair at the airport?

You can request the chairs we have available at the airport by contacting us at least 24 hours before the departure of your flight through the Contact Center.

The service includes the transfer from the counter to the boarding gate or seat on the plane. Once at the destination, we will accompany you to the terminal exit.

Important

  • The service does not imply continuous assistance of the wheelchair passenger. Therefore, at times when the passenger does not require transfer assistance and can move about on their own, they may be left unattended by LATAM.
  • It is important that, in the event that the passenger has any condition other than reduced mobility, the company must be informed at least 48 hours in advance in order to properly address and manage it, especially if a medical professional or a family member is required to accompany them.
  • It is important to request the wheelchair service well in advance, since the response times for requests could be affected by infrastructure, space or logistical limitations in case of high demand for this service. We will do our best to handle all requests as quickly as possible.
